    Windows 7 hits the torrents

    Filed under: General VMC News;

    Those of you, like myself, who couldn’t attend PDC this year are probably also like me in that you’re trying to get your hands on a copy of Windows 7.  Well, if you’re willing to use a copy that’s not authorized, you can now find both 32 and 64bit versions of 7 ready for the taking on most of the major torrent sites.

    I’ve considered doing this myself, and now that I’m going to have an extra PC in my house to test with, I may go ahead and do it.  I don’t enjoy getting my software this way but I do want to be able to provide information here on the blog.  If you don’t trust torrent sites however, I’ve been told that the official beta from MS should be available sometime in December.  I’m thinking that I may wait as well since again, I don’t like using torrent software.

    If anyone does, however find a good copy out there, I’d appreciate you letting me know.  Again, I can’t really take the chance of installing this on my Media Center (WAF) or on my laptop as I need it for work, but with an extra PC sitting around I’d like to give it a try!
